I constantly notice people stopping to admire its sleek lines and modern lighting; it truly makes a bold statement wherever it goes. The driving experience is where the car really proves its worth. The 155kW motor provides instant torque, which is perfect for stop-and-go traffic and the occasional steep climbs we face on our hills. I am highly satisfied with the performance; it feels smooth, quiet, and effortless. Furthermore, the range has been a major highlight. With the 58.9kWh battery offering a solid 400km (WLTP), I can manage my daily commutes for several days on a single charge. This provides great confidence for longer trips. Inside, the cabin is a tech-lover\'s dream. The 13.2-inch portrait touchscreen is intuitive and the EcoClean upholstery is perfect for our environment. However, while the car itself is nearly perfect, the public charging network in Nepal definitely needs to be improved. Finding high-speed DC chargers outside the valley remains a challenge. Overall, I am a very happy owner of the J5.

Your real-time view of every EV charging station across Nepal
Tap Near Me to instantly locate your position and highlight all charging stations within 10 km. The map flies to your location and shows a count of nearby stations along with the distance to the closest one.
When many stations are close together, they are grouped into cluster bubbles showing a count. Zoom in or tap a cluster to expand it and see individual station markers.
Map data refreshes automatically to keep station statuses current. You can also trigger a manual refresh any time to pull the latest station information without reloading the page.
Every station gets a shareable URL (?station=ID). Paste the link in a message — anyone who opens it lands directly on that station's details popup.
The filter panel shows a live count of all visible CCS2, GBT, and AC charger guns across currently displayed stations, so you always know what's available in view.
Find exactly the station or connector type you need
Type a station name, operator company, or city name in the search bar. Results appear as an autocomplete dropdown split into:
Selecting a result flies the map to that station or location.
Open the Filter panel and choose an operator company from the dropdown to show only that company's stations on the map. Select "All" to clear the filter.
In the Filter panel, select a charger type (CCS2, GBT, AC, 15A Plug) to show only stations that offer that connector. Combine with the operator filter for precise results.
Pro tip: Searching for a company name (e.g. "Sajilo") automatically applies the operator filter and zooms to all their stations at once — no need to open the Filter panel separately.
All the information about a station in one place
Tap Share inside the station panel to copy a direct link to your clipboard. Send it via any messaging app — the recipient will land straight on the station's popup.
Tap Directions to open Google Maps with the station set as your destination. Works on both desktop and mobile.
The station detail panel shows other charging stations nearby, sorted by distance. Tap any nearby station card to instantly jump to its details — great for planning backup options.
Found something wrong? Tap Report Issue to flag a problem. Choose a report type and optionally add a note. Reports are reviewed by administrators.
Subscribe to push notifications for a specific station. You'll receive a browser notification whenever that station's status changes — ideal for stations you visit regularly.
Understanding the four connector standards available in Nepal
Global DC fast-charging standard. Supports both AC and DC in one connector. Typically 30–150 kW. Used by most modern European and international EVs.
Chinese national DC charging standard. Very common in Nepal given the high proportion of Chinese EVs and electric buses. Typically 30–120 kW.
Standard alternating-current charger using Type 2 (Mennekes) or similar connectors. Slower (3.3–22 kW) but widely compatible. Great for overnight or workplace charging.
A regular industrial 15-ampere socket. The slowest option but universally available. Suitable for small EVs, e-bikes, or as an emergency trickle charge for any EV.
Don't know your connector? Check your EV's manual or the port shape on your car. Most Nepal-sold BYD, MG, and Hyundai models use CCS2. Yutong and other Chinese buses typically use GBT. Older imports may only support AC Type 2.
Plan long trips and find charging stations along the way
Tap the Route Planner button on the map toolbar. A panel slides in where you can enter your start point, any waypoints, and your destination.
Type in the search boxes — suggestions appear from both station names and general Nepal locations. Select a suggestion or type a custom address.
Add intermediate stops between your start and destination. Useful for multi-city trips where you want to pass through specific towns.
Tap Plan Route. The map draws your route and automatically highlights all charging stations within range of the corridor. Route details show total distance, estimated duration, and a breakdown of available charger guns along the way.
The Route Details panel lists every station near your route. Tap any station to fly the map to it and open its detail popup — you can check status, charger specs, and reviews without leaving the route view.
Use Refresh Route to re-fetch the latest road data, or Clear Route to remove the route overlay and return the map to normal station view.
Real-time crowd data powered by the community
Open a station's detail panel and tap Check In to record your presence. This tells other drivers the station is currently in use.
Each check-in is valid for 1 hour. You can only check in once per station per hour.
The station panel shows a live busyness badge based on active check-ins:
Below the check-in count you'll see a Last Check-In timestamp showing how recently someone was at the station — helpful for judging whether the data is fresh.
Help the community with honest, helpful feedback
Each station shows its average star rating (1–5) and the total number of ratings at a glance. The star rating bar inside the detail panel gives a breakdown by star level.
Tap Write a Review or click the star rating display. In the review modal:
Found a helpful review? Use the 👍 button to upvote it. Each user can vote once per comment. You can undo a vote by pressing the same button again.
If a comment is inappropriate or spam, tap the Flag icon to report it. Flagged comments are reviewed by moderators.
The Latest Stations popup has a Top Rated tab that lists stations ranked by their average rating. Only stations with at least one rating are shown.
Understanding what each station status means and how to update it
Updating status: Inside the station detail panel, use the status buttons to report the current condition you observed. Community-reported statuses help every driver make better decisions.
Stay informed about the stations you care about
The bell icon on the map toolbar shows a red badge count when any stations are currently reported as non-working. Tap it to see a live list of all stations with issues.
The badge refreshes every 20 seconds automatically.
Open a station's detail panel and tap Notify Me on Status Change. Your browser will ask for notification permission. Once granted, you'll receive a push notification whenever that station's status is updated.
Tap the Latest button to browse recently added or updated stations. Switch between the Latest tab (newest additions) and the Top Rated tab.
Help grow Nepal's EV map by submitting a new station
Anyone can submit a new charging station — no account or registration needed. Submissions are reviewed by administrators before appearing on the public map. Help the community by keeping the map accurate and complete.
Look for the Add Station button on the map interface (usually in the toolbar or menu). No account or registration is required — anyone can submit a station.
A Google Maps widget appears. Click or tap the exact location of the charging station on the map to drop a pin. You can drag the pin to fine-tune the position. The address fields will auto-fill based on the pin location.
Fill in the station's name, operator/company name, full address, and phone number. The more accurate the details, the more useful it is for other EV drivers.
List the charger types available at the station (CCS2, GBT, AC, 15A Plug), the power output in kW for each type, and the number of charging guns available. You can add multiple charger types if the station has mixed connectors.
Select any amenities available near the station — parking, food, restrooms, etc. This helps drivers plan their charging stops better.
Tap Submit to send your station for administrator review. You'll be notified once it is approved and published on the map. Typically reviewed within a few days.
Tip: Before submitting, double-check that the station is not already listed on the map by searching its name or address. Duplicate submissions slow down the review process.
